1. Who is Hena-C Breeders and how long have we been Cairn Terrier Breeders & Owners?

I got started with the Cairn Terriers when I met my husband. His family has Cairns that they had for breeding from two long time and well known show kennels.I helped get them bred for 2 litters and then ended up buying 3 sisters from one litter to keep the breeding going. Not being much of a small dog person, I really liked the Cairns because they are hardy, tough and very happy, social dogs. They also get along well with my shepherds and share the same love of retrieving, swimming and guarding. I am not a big show breeder. I do have excellent champion show bloodlines and will show some dogs that I feel deserve to show. My goal is to breed quality, healthy companions for families that have the excellent backgrounds with show lines.

2. What is our breeding program and what type of Cairn Terriers do we offer?

Hena-C has a brand new state of the art kennel facility that has been completed as of May 2004. Our kennel sits on 7 acres of private, wooded land surrounded by a large area of wetlands that has a abundance of wildlife and beautiful brooks. We have a 36' wide by 50' long building that has 17 indoor/outdoor runs(completely covered outside), grooming room, office ,bathroom/laundry and a huge open room above the downstairs to conduct training and playtime with our dogs and pups. All the floors in the building have radiant heat including the outside runs. We also have A/C for the summer. Our place has an added bonus of being bug free for the comfort of our dogs thanks to the mosquito magnet! We have divided our kennel in half in the run section to have a separate side for our whelping area. This allows the moms and pups to have a bigger and more secluded place to be. The other side is for the individual dogs. Both myself and the dogs are in heaven and spoiled with luxjury. I thank my husband Eric for this beautiful kennel that he has built all by himself for the past year weekends and nights!! It has been a long time dream to get to this point.

Our dogs live in immaculate conditions with no fleas or parasites and are fed the best nutritional foods possible. Our Cairns carry champion bloodlines from 6 different countries. We have some great top show line kennels in our pedigrees with many of the dogs being champions. The ones that don't have this title are still excellent dogs which produce high quality. We have spent a long time picking and saving good bloodlines to breed healthy and happy Cairns for families to love and enjoy. We breed excellent quailty dogs that are raised with a lot of handling and socialization. We have lots of children and people around all the time to make sure this happens. Cairns love attention especially when ours see a treat coming! Our Cairns produce a variety of colors that are red, wheaten and brindle(multi color). Cairns are known to change colors throughout their lives so we can't guarantee color 100%. Our breeding stock comes from pups we have bred, imports and other excellent breeders. Our Cairns produce sizes ranging from 11 - 19 pounds.

3.What else do we offer with our pups?

A complete physical with a State Health Certificate from the vet. The first shot and wormings. A 48 hour return policy for any reason. A record of what shots and worming were given and when the rest are due. A 1 year health guarantee against any problem that is hereditary or congenital. We replace the dog with another one but don't require that you return the affected one. A four (4) generation pedigree and a puppy information sheet. We stay in touch with all the owners and welcome any calls for help or problems throughout the life of the dog. They are our babies too and we want to know that they and you are happy.

20 minutes northwest of Concord NH. just off route 89 to route 127. We are 1 ½ hours northwest of Boston, 1 hour from the NH seacoast, 1+hours from the NH lakes region, and 50 minutes from Keene, NH.
